InterfacesBetweenSecondLanguageAcquisitionandLanguageTestingResearchSecondLanguageacquisition(SLA)andlanguagetesting(LT)researchhelargelybeenviewedasdistinctareasofinquiryinappliedlinguistics.Inrecentyears,however,therehasbeengreateroverlap.orinterface.betweenthesetwoareas,andanincreasingcommonalityofinterests,both,intemsoftheresearchquestionsaddressedandtheempiricalapproachestakenindealingwihtthesequestions.ThisbookprovidesafreshlookatareasofcommoninteresttobothSALandLTresearch.andwaysinwhichresearchinthesetwoareasofappliedlinguisticscanbefruitfullyintegrated.Thevolumeincludesoriginalpapers,writtenaroundacommontheme,dealingwithdifferentaspectsoftheinterfacebetwwenSLAandLTresearch,byleadingresearchersintheareasofSLAandLT.ThiscollectionthusconstitutesastartingpointforacontinuingandexpandingdialoguebetweenSLAandLTresearchers.
